Who is Eligible?
Any individual who owns a horse used for sport or
pleasure.
Which risks are ineligible for
this plan?
Any individual who owns a horse that is used in a
business, occupation, or profession is not eligible
for this program. This includes riding instructors,
either full or part-time; professional show riders;
or individuals who own racehorses.
Mortality
Coverage is provided if an insured animal dies because
of accident, illness, injury or disease. Coverage
is also provided from humane destruction to relieve
incurable and excessive suffering if caused by an
insured peril.
Tack $1,500
Coverage is provided against the risks of physical
loss or damage to owned tack. (Tack is defined as
saddles, bridles, bits and other riding equipment,
but not riding apparel.)
Saddle Animal Legal Liability $100,000
or $300,000

liability
Protects the insured's liability for bodily injury
or property damage resulting from the ownership of
the horse described in the declarations page of the
policy.
- Medical Payments
$1,000 each person OR $25,000 each accident
This coverage pays medical expenses incurred by persons
who are not insured, if the bodily injury is caused
by an insured animal.
Accidental Death Coverage $10,000
This coverage will pay if an insured loses his/ her
life because of an accident resulting from the ownership,
maintenance or use of an insured animal.
Medical Reimbursement $1,500
It will pay medical and dental expenses incurred
by an insured because of an accident resulting from
the ownership, maintenance or use of an insured animal.
